Rehabilitation Therapy 

The Spanish Peaks Department of Rehabilitative Services offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to patients at our hospital, residents of the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center, and provides outpatient services to community residents.

Our Services

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists are trained to improve functional movement with emphasis on

  • Sports injuries
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Motor vehicle injuries
  • Balance disorders
  • Postural correction
  • Low back and neck pain
  • Knee and shoulder pain
  • Parkinson's

Hannah Larson, PT, DPT, CSCS, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist who focuses on a progressive, functional movement approach for treatment and specializes in addressing pain issues.

Danielle Williams, PT, MPT, CWC, CLT, is certified in wound care and lymphedema treatment.

Occupational Therapy 

Occupational therapists focus treatment on helping people achieve independence in all areas of their lives. Some of the diagnoses we work with include:

  • Traumatic injuries (brain or spinal cord)
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Broken bones or other orthopedic injuries
  • Post-surgical conditions
  • Hand and wrist injuries
  • Multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and other chronic illnesses

Speech Therapy 

A Speech Language Pathologist is trained in identifying and treating communication and swallowing disorders. Some issues we address are:

  • Swallowing problems, we also offer a modified barium swallow assessment
  • Speech disorders include difficulties producing sounds in syllables or saying words incorrectly to the extent that other people can't understand what's being stated.
  • Resonance or voice disorders include problems with the pitch, volume, or quality of the voice that may distract listeners from what is being stated.
  • Language disorders can be either receptive or expressive in nature. Receptive disorders refer to difficulties understanding or processing language. Expressive disorders include difficulty forming words, limited vocabulary, or an inability to use language in a socially appropriate manner.
  • Cognitive language disorders
Wound Care Clinic 

Danielle Williams is a certified wound therapist and certified lymphedema therapist who can provide sharp debridement of wounds and treat the following:

  • Vascular ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Neuropathic ulcers
  • Complex wounds
  • Atypical wounds
  • Negative pressure
  • Compression
  • Lymphedema
  • Burns

Contacting Us

Once we receive the order for therapy services from your physician, we will schedule your initial consultation. Your therapist will review your history and work with you to assess your problems, strengths, weaknesses, and areas of concern. This initial assessment, combined with your personal goals, will serve as the foundation for developing a tailored and highly individualized treatment plan. We offer services for individuals of all ages and diagnoses.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
