MEET THE NEWEST SURGEON|Dr. Paul Radway

WALSENBURG, CO (December 10, 2009) - We are pleased to announce that Dr. Paul Radway will be spending time in Walsenburg at the Spanish Peaks Specialty Clinic, as the new General Surgeon who will provide General Surgery services.

Dr. Radway is a well respected surgeon with more than 30 years of private practice in Pueblo, CO.  Dr. Radway received his medical degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and the Grantville Bennet Award. He served on the Executive Committee and Executive Council at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center and the Colorado Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He served as President of the Medical Staff at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center and the Colorado Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Radway's personal mission is to meet the needs of those less fortunate which have led him to international locations with his involvements in surgical missions to third world countries.

Dr. Radway will accept referrals and offer routine clinic days on Tuesdays from 1pm-4pm and Thursdays from 9am-12pm with Thursday afternoons for scheduled surgeries.

WALSENBURG, CO (January 4, 2010) - Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center's ER, which is a Level IV Trauma Center, received a "No Deficiency" rating from the Colorado State Survey panel December 16, 2009.

Dr. James Mosby, Medical Director of the ER, who joined us after many years with the ER of St Anthony's Hospital of Denver and Sherry Gomez RN, Emergency Services Director were particularly pleased not just with the rating but of this team of professionals, who regularly take part in "life and death" scenarios with grace and great commitment during difficult challenges.
