WALSENBURG - Spanish Peaks Family Clinic of Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is pleased to welcome family medicine and alternative medicine practitioner, Olixn (pronounced O-leen) Adams, MD & DO to its medical staff. He will accept new patients with traditional medicine practices and is looking forward to sharing holistic medicines to those with that preference.

Dr. Adams has a preference for the rural environment coming from a small town and having practiced medicine at Del Norte. Dr. Adams is a confident physician who has enjoyed traditional family medicine practice as well as alternative medical practice throughout most of his career. He is pleased to join the staff at the Level 3, Patient Centered Medical Home, where the pace here allows him to fully meet the medical needs of his patients.

Dr. Adams and his wife Kristina have spent most of their personal and professional lives in smaller communities. Mrs. Adams is a Masters candidate at Adams State University in Art with a specialization in sculpting and we look forward to her involvement within Huerfano County to enlighten & inspire our youth.

Dr. Adams promotes balanced lifestyles by addressing more preventative measures as part of his global medical view; a view that more global than many in rural communities. Dr. Adams visits the Hopi Nation in Arizona monthly, to meet some of the medical needs with the tribe whiling maintaining a strong connection.
