Rolling for Freedom generously donated proceeds for our Heroes.

Walsenburg, CO – July 21, 2012, the first annual “Rolling for Freedom” Poker Run took place. Spanish Peaks Regional Health center, the Dog Bar, Sammies’, Rondo’s, Sartis and the Acorn Travel Center participated.

More than 80 riders showed up, led by the Grand Marshall, Randy Jackson and followed by elder rider, Jeanne O’Conner. This was a fun day for everyone and the weather made it even better.

August 30th, Sheriff Joe Albano presented the Poker Run funds of $865 to Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home as a donation for a new much needed van. We thank and appreciate all those riders and businesses who choose to participate. Next year we hope to make this a larger event highlighting all of Huerfano County.
