Spanish Peaks Hospital

is licensed as a Critical Access Hospital with 20 acute care beds and operates a 24-hour level IV trauma emergency care center.
The hospital offers a variety of medical services to residents of Huerfano County and surrounding areas, including diagnostic imaging, a full-service clinical laboratory, cardiopulmonary and neurological diagnosis and therapy, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, surgical services, and a variety of outpatient specialty clinics.
The facility is committed to the development and education of its staff and medical professionals in the region. This commitment is demonstrated by its designation as the smallest hospital in Colorado to be accredited to provide physician continuing medical education programs and one of two critical access hospitals in Colorado ( the other one being Aspen) accredited to provide nursing continuing education credits.
